THREAD: Chief @ArtAcevedo, I just want a simple explanation on why it seems the people of Houston, whom you are to protect and serve, can’t get transparency from your office. We’ve asked for you to release the audit done on departments under your purview, you haven’t done it.

We’ve asked you to realesse body camera footage from the killings of six individuals at the hands of officers in your department, you haven’t done it.

You sir, put your uniform on, marched with #BlackLivesMatter and preached about reform from your bullhorn and yet, your actions are in direct conflict with your very own words. How are we to fix the disease if you won’t even shed light on what the symptoms are?

The people are asking for you to simply comply, I mean after all, that’s what we’re told when police officers pull us over, so I expect the same from your office as well.

Give Houstonians transparency so we can tackle this systemic plague, together.
