Arteta was forced to make extraordinary travel arrangements for Arsenal ’s trip to Man City. The players had to drive themselves to Stansted airport, the club chef prepared a meal which they ate as part of a buffet at the airport & then flew to Manchester at 5pm [ @MirrorFootball]
Some of Arsenal’s players did not get to bed until 3am on Thursday morning after their thumping defeat which is hardly ideal preparation for Saturday’s trip to Brighton.

But under the new Project Restart protocols, clubs are being encouraged to get flights where possible.
'Jamie O'Hara slammed the Gunners' preparation, claiming the knock-on effects were evident in their performance: "When you fly you hold more water, I never liked flying. I always felt a bit heavy afterwards because when people come off flights you do feel a bit heavy, you carry
more water, the fluid goes in your ankles and, for me, that [3 hours between the flight and the game] seems not long to prepare for a match.' [ @talkSPORT]
