How to overcome blank page syndrome? Here's a few tips.
1) make it a habit: it sounds predictable but it's true. Writing is like a muscle that needs to be exercised, preferably every day! Make a little time for writing daily, if you can, doesn't matter if it's 15 mins only.
2) if you are a visual person, try marking down on a calendar every day you have written something. Seeing a lot of marked boxes will give you motivation! Now it's only a matter of "not breaking the chain" as Seinfeld said.
3) go out, do stuff, read a book, draw something, watch your favourite show, take a walk: creativity needs stimulus!
4) get out of your comfort zone a bit. Writing something you're not overly familiar with, that you have to maybe do a little research on, can be stimulating.
5) just begin. It doesn't matter if it's not the first scene, or if the words don't sound completely right. Just do it! Press those digits on that keyboard or doodle that pen on that paper. The action helps you gain momentum. Done is better than perfect, says Namjoon!
