I am not sure what @mainebar was thinking in having Leah Baldacci talking piles of BULLSHIT about how white females are more discriminated against than black folks, but HOLY SHIT! This is shameful. And crazy. Start at 23:00. G-r-o-s-s.

She thinks "white, Christian, heterosexuals" are being discriminated against. If you mention "white privilege," then YOU are racist. This is beyond problematic. And this is a younger attorney. Like, girl: CHECK YOUR PRIVILEGE. And read a book. Honestly.

Classic example of "white woman tears" and making the issues all about HER. Take a seat. In fact, take all the seats. If you deny how systemic racism has poisoned our "justice" system, then I really question your ability to think critically.

Pretty sure she also married former #Maine Governor John Baldacci's son, Jack (who is also a lawyer), so yeah, the privilege is just DRIPPING here. My God.

I really wish someone had cut her off and called her out. The MSBA President didn't. The Chief Justice of our SJC didn't. The Exec Director of the Board of Bar Overseers (and former Bar Counsel) didn't. It's just amazing to me how far we go to avoid hurting someone's "feelings."
