Dear Supporters: thank you for being with us from the start of this journey! Taking stock: a short thread on where we are.
Our goals remains the same: a statue for Jack Leslie, sharing his story and celebrating his achievements, and recognising that he should have been capped.

Recent events have thrown our campaign into sharp focus. we have recognised the #BlackLivesMatter https://abs.twimg.com/hashflags... draggable="false" alt=""> protests, and of course statues are in the news. We want to focus on this as a positive and constructive effort to build a monument to Jack Leslie, who deserves such recognition.

We’re considering when best to launch our Crowdfunder appeal. We originally planned to launch in March at a home game with members of Jack Leslie’s family as guests. When that match was cancelled because of COVID, we postponed launch until Autumn. But monemtum is growing....

So building on that momentum we continue to invite people to sign up to our mailing list via the site, and follow us on social media. We are also keen to use Jack’s story as an educational tool moving forward. This week we launched our first competition for school-children (see pinned tweet) but have a team working up a proper briefing pack and educational materials for schools.
