How #diverse are the people across social media before and after #BLM movement? Here the analysis of some brands! @nike @prada @zara @RalphLauren @hm @LouisVuitton and @CHANEL
This is how I did it: One by one, the #99pictures of each brand are colour coded following the order in which the pictures are displayed on their feed. I tried to simplify as much as possible the groups to have a much clearer vision.
Here the analysis for @Nike. The most diverse by far! #people, #sports, #activism and #culture. If you want to learn about how to make a change, follow them.
@LouisVuitton prefers to focus on selling its products. They are working hard on supporting families and workers affected by #Codiv19. Step by step!
Lately, @RalphLauren has been posting products instead of people. It seems they want to show how hard are they working on producing sustainable products and helping people affected by #covid19.
After #BLM, @chanel has increased the images of people in their posts. Different ethnicities are starting to appear, but still there is some work to do in that regard.
@Prada has woken up after the #BLM movement. What I like here is that some of the people here look unique, regardless their #ethnicity.
@hm knows about diversity, not only when we speak about ethnicities, but also proving that all bodies are beautiful. Remember they were the ones doing the #socialmedia campaign: #AtHomeWithHM!! a total success!!! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Maybe @ZARA is the one less diverse when it comes to people. As @Prada did, it seems to be a before and after of the #BLMprotest. Keep it up!!
This thread can lead us to different ideas. The one I show here is the importance of sport in integrating #diversity in societies. I hope that this way of seeing life, loving who we have next to us regardless of the small details, will spread through the world. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
