I am absolutely god awful at self-praise but here& #39;s some things I& #39;m proud to have achieved since last summer.
Our Instagram page has almost doubled in size, as we close in on 10k followers. It has progressed from pretty pictures and quirky stories, to being a platform for breaking news, original video and a showcase for i& #39;s incredible journalism, especially @ipaperviews.

On Twitter @theipaper shifted focus to i journalists being champions of their own pieces, with specialist reporters like @RhiannonJudithW going viral - a double edged sword of social. Fellow newbies in the last year at @theipaper have included some of the best reporters/editors out there - @whazell @HugoGye @janemerrick23 @aitchrobertson @AimeePaige to name a few - and it is a pleasure to promote their work.
