Fellow zoomers: We Must Avoid This

Idk how but it involves ignoring the older generations designs, ideas and building something new

Building something new is not only a moral imperative but a survival technique https://twitter.com/Trinhnomics/status/1273462798991818753
If existing wealth share drops an order of mag per generation, we need to either pry the wealth from the older generation or build new types of wealth + ways of generating it

First thought? @visakanv's idea of social capital. Build strong communities, leverage em to make things
This is key. Cities have failed us, urban property is immutable and therefore inextensible. Maintenance is difficult, progress impossible.

We have logistics, telecoms and distribution systems previous gens didn't dream of, let's use them to decentralise https://twitter.com/Trinhnomics/status/1273468244511227905?s=19
Take your friends and the teammates you need to build something (if you expect to work in a big company, know you only need to work alongside your immediate team, gains from inter-team face time are far lower than intra-team + not worth it). Count them, and their near + dear
That number is going to be smaller than the average "tiny town" in a flyover state. Take five or ten teams worth of team members + extended family and you've got a village worth of people
There's no reason to live in a city any more (I know you'll miss the clubs, but look, the cities will still Be There, you can visit them every couple of weeks like a theme park)

Biggest benefit of leaving a city? You can build things, cheaper and easier than you can imagine
Climbing walls, studios, galleries, server rooms, workshops, labs. All these things need space. In cities, space is disgustingly expensive and hoarded by the older generations. So how do we get the space to build amazing things? Break the shackles of urban life
"go to the city and make something of yourself" was the old paradigm

The new one is "go to the country and make something for the world"
