Are there any community organisers here? I’m at this crossroads with an informal community org - if we formally register for funding etc -we’d have case notes & qualification requirements, data collation , governmental reporting that would drain us and our ability to function.

every single conversation I have would need a client file & a case note EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. The professional boundary we have learned to put in place would need to be formalised etc, the friendship element would be removed between staff and “client”, -

I really believe that NFP’s are designed to fail and I’m fearful that formalising an org for professional and funding purposes is going to remove the community altogether.
