Thread. What I actually said was according to @OECD the UK is set to be the worst perf economy in the developed world. Because of Scotland's sector concentrations & the nature of the virus here our economy is more exposed & so could be 'a bit worse'. A monumental effort needed.

Scotland is also very exposed to the self harm of Brexit which @OECD called on UK to delay. Devolution cannot cope with Covid or Brexit let alone both. All the small countries in the OECD are outperforming the UK because they have the policy tools they need & don't have Brexit.

Now really is not a time for puerile point scoring. The UK shoulders are not 'broad' - look at the prospects & performance. UK is 'bailing' no-one out. It is the world's savers through the bond markets who are doing that for many countries & companies. Scotland cant access them.

Now is the time for everyone to work together like never before to beat the virus and its dire economic consequences. Think ahead.
