#Kepa has only faced 12 ground 1v1s (most teams have faced 20+) but has been beaten 10 times!

#Kepa’s 1v1 save% is the lowest in the #PremierLeague at 17%.

More concerningly #Kepa rarely makes the optimal decision & thus doesn’t give himself a chance to make the save!

#Chelsea
#Kepa’s big decision making problem is highlighted in the photos below. He regularly rushes off his line & ends up in no mans land when facing 1v1s gifting the striker a simple side foot finish from the edge of the box.

#Kepa needs to stay deeper & trust his reactions.

#Chelsea
#Kepa’s other issue is he often stays too deep when the ball falls to strikers close to goal. The optimum decision would be to rush out & spread as it’s impossible to react in time from such close range.

Oddly when he should wait he engages & when he should engage he waits!
It potentially isn’t all doom & gloom for #Kepa though as he is young & you would expect his decision making to improve in these situations.

#Chelsea have a big decison to make as potentially they don’t have time to wait for #Kepa to get better if better GKs are available now.
