it's pretty unnecessary for Kashin Koji to be a clone of Jiraiya. It feels cheap and not much of a climactic build up.

The chapter hasn't came out yet, but even for a Naruto fan myself I dislike this idea alot on writing standpoint.
I'm busy questioning the whole point of the Jiraiya clone reveal.

It's mainly the fact how it is treated doesn't really shock me but is a disappointment to Jiraiya fans who care for the actual character.
Kashin Koji during the current manga run has received little to no character development and is being used at a plot device at this point.

I can't even call decent or good writing. Since he isn't even being written as an actual character.
Even for the Jiraiya clone reveal would either damage the actual development of Naruto entire character and lessens the impact of Jiraiya actual death and this would be a bastardization and disrespect of the pain assault arc and the development the protagonist received.
I get Kodachi is using the mental development so that Naruto will know how far technology goes.

But the issue with it being linked to the Otsutsuki plotline removes any potential good writing and actual development in the story.
Since the Kara members even Jigen are all plot devices at this point and Kashin Koji being revealed to be a clone of Jiraiya doesn't have much actual stakes on weight since it doesn't change the actual status quo and feels forced.
Even if Koji is a clone this is pretty dumb and really stupid.

Since I even said that relating him back to Jiraiya would ruin the impact of his legacy weither he is a clone or not
