I'll be updating this thread as more arise, I have no doubt they will. SM's erratic, impossible management reflects very poorly on him...

It crushes his potential to gain popularity as an individual instead of just as that ditzy yet caring meathead persona they've assigned to him as a WayV member, and also discourages big companies and brands from wanting to work with him (as well as the other WayV members) /cont.

But anyways onto my thread:

Burberry - Originally just a deal for Lucas, thanks to SM's bargaining several other WayV members have been able to come with him to Burberry events or be featured in other Burberry promo alongside him

Keep Running (1) - One of the most popular variety shows in Chn, Lucas was able to join the main cast of the show after passing his audition last year /cont.

In one episode they played a short clip of Take Off, which made it chart well (#3 Mainland, #4 Global) on QQ Music immediately after, a first for WayV. Prior to this they were pretty much only able to chart at all on slow international sites like iTunes, not domestically.

Keep Running (2) - Kun was able to guest star in the season finale as Lucas's friend, which again boosted the position of Take Off on Chinese music charts

Fendi - This one is just speculation but I'll bring it up anyways. The non-Lucas member choice alone is suspect enough for me to think this was supposed to be for Lucas only.

Of all members a high fashion brand like that would want at their event alongside Xuxi why would they go for the least popular member in the group and TEN? That's so random. He also got an extra interview, did all the talking, etc. but again, speculation

The Way To Your Heart 漫游记 - Originally only for Lucas, yet again SM finessed their way into getting Ten and YangYang involved

ZhejiangTV New Years Gala - The biggest stage WayV has had in Chn to date, originally only Lucas would have performed that night (as a Keep Running MC)

(Thankfully Lucas was still able to perform both the KR opening with his fellow MCs and Meteor Garden OST with Li Chen, Zheng Kai, and F4 Jerry Yan like he was supposed to)

Unknown fashion brand - This brand was looking for a new spokesperson and had their eyes on Lucas for the role. They contacted his management and SM declined the offer because they were only interested in a group endorsement (translation cr. @luxasxuxi)

Keep Running (3) - Lucas was forced to miss filming over half the episodes of the latest season, this time featuring Cai XuKun as a new MC, due to SM prioritizing WayV's comeback preparation and promotion in SK which predominantly consisted of mundane livestreams
