I get it black men, the black culture that yall have grown up in. Especially Hip-Hop is deeply rooted in misogyny. The culture we have ALL grown up in and have been exposed to. So i get that you see nothing wrong with what j.cole said. Just how yall don’t see
Anything wrong with all of your other favorite rappers. You will ultimately die on a hill for some random ass person that you don’t know just because the same culture teaches you to suppress your emotions
So that when you see/hear somebody who looks like you speaking on something you can relate to -in a song- you praise them. When in reality, they are just human and are talking about their feelings. But to you they are a god because they just happen to understand
And put to words something you cant or don’t comprehend about yourselves.

It’s kinda sad. That’s why a lot of you still listen to kodak black but still ignore the fact that he has rape allegations against him. Or praise Jay-Z —
Because he can coherantly speak on the struggle of being black in america but still partnered with the NFL after the condemning Colin Kaepernick for taking a knee to protest police brutality.
The same reason why yall still listen to future even though he willingly treats women like trash, impregnantes them and doesn’t know how to actively be a good parent.
Like i said yall will die on a hill for your favorite artists but they damn fasho wouldn’t do it for you. The emotional appeal that these rappers do for black men and how they pet your egos. Its kinda sad.
