Don& #39;t let anyone tell you the liberal co-option of the #chaz
is a strike for decentralized organizing.

Centralization, a couple moderate figures forming a "leadership", is exactly how shit got co-opted. Fuck everyone who sees themselves as a leader in a mass movement
If there& #39;s one lesson to learn from CHAZ, it& #39;s that we have to kick out any & #39;activists& #39; pushing moderation immediately from our spaces and movement.

Don& #39;t let leaders into leaderless spaces. Kick them out by any means necessary.
i& #39;ve seen this same cycle happen many times before

- radical movement forms without leadership

- "moderate" activists make themselves known, bring megaphones and start acting like leaders

- people unfamiliar with protest begin following them

-initial radicalism is lost
But don& #39;t think of a project failing as a bad thing. Imagine a prototype plane going further and further each time it& #39;s tested- it lasting a little longer before failing is a success of that test. Each test shows us a little bit of what works and what doesn& #39;t.
For instance, CHAZ has helped show us the importance of branding to spreading a radical message - just the name CHAZ inspired a shitton of radical folks all over the world, and judging by the president& #39;s tweets, scared the everlasting shit out of the ruling class.
We can also see parts where it failed: when conflict slowed with the cops, it devolved into a street fair and allowed liberal activists to co-opt the protest away from its roots in resistance against SPD and abolitionism.

I feel this means it& #39;s important to maintain conflict.
If we let a protest get too peaceful, even if it& #39;s initially militant, it& #39;s going to lose its radical momentum and falter.

In retrospect, I think we should have rendered the precinct inoperable and then focused on other SPD installations.

"When the enemy retreats, we pursue."
i& #39;m just one person who watched this go down btw so please don& #39;t take my opinions on it as gospel
