Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons (Beauxbatons Academy of Magic), the French wizarding school, located in the Pyrenees mountains of southern France. The school takes many of it's wizarding students from France, as well from Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium.

The school's coat of arms consist of two golden wands crossed over one another, each shooting three stars.

Beauxbatons was founded sometimes before 1290s. The school has had many noteworthy students over the years such as Nicolas Flamel, the alchemist who invented Philosopher's Stone, and his wife Perenelle.

Another famous ex-students include; Vincent Duc de Treffle–Picques, Luc Millefeuille, and Fleur Delacour who fought in the world–famous Battle of Hogwarts. Fleur was prized for her bravery both from the Ministries of British and France.

Etymology of Beauxbatons was likely devised from the French “beaux bâtons”, literally translated as “beautiful sticks”. In France, “baguette” is the word used for wands, but it might be referenced to “bâton”.

In Beauxbatons Academy, education has a similar calibre with Hogwarts School of Witchraft and Wizardry. Beauxbatons students take their equivalent Ordinary Wizarding Levels in their sixth year, rather than their fifth like their Hogwarts counterparts.

Beauxbatons Academy has enjoyed a very warm, cordial relation with Hogwarts, as even during the Triwizard Tournament the two school had been healthy rivalry; Beauxbatons had won the Tournament sixty-two over Hogwarts' sixty-three.

I'll put some visual about Beauxbatons Academy uniform, as shown on Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire movie and also a reference from the book;
❝The students wear pale blue robes made of fine silk❞.

🦋: : i'm also a bit grey about their house's each robes, whether or not it has a symbol of each houses like Hogwarts', because all the robes looked the same. if readers had any idea, feel free to share! /love/

Palace of Beauxbatons is a beautiful chateau surrounded by majestic gardens and fountains magically created out of the surrounding mountains and has stood for over seven hundred years.

At the Palace of Beauxbatons, they have ice sculptures all around the dining chamber at Christmas. The ice sculptures do not melt, they looked like a statues of glittering diamond.

According to Fleur Delacour, the food that is served in the school is superb, with choirs of wood nymphs serenade students while they eat.

Students and staffs of Beauxbatons are transported using Le carrosse de Beauxbâtons (Eng : Beauxbatons carriages). The carriages are a light–blue, pulled by dozen winged horses. The Abraxan horses are only fed single-malt whisky.

The students at Beauxbatons Academy have been taught to stand at attention from when their Headmistress enters the room until she seat herself to show great respect towards her.

The sorting ceremony in Beauxbatons requires the student to shot a silver arrow across the room, which will burst into sparks of your house color.

The arrow will choose a house based on their personality, demeanor, and character. The house description is an outline for your character, not definite facts.

If the arrow burst into purple, it means you are sorted for Papillionlisse. This house is well known for kindness, artistic ability, maturity, and idealistically. The house is symbolized by a butterfly alighting on leaf.

If the arrow burst into blue, it means you are sorted for Ombrelune. Cunning, logic, ambition, and curiosity are the traits mostly fitted for this house. The house is symbolized by a sinister looking moon.

Lastly, if the arrow burst into green, it means you are sorted for Bellefeuille. This house prized all traits about bravery, sensitivity, loyalty and love of nature. The house is symbolized by five leaves. Here are the summary of all three houses logos;

BELLEFUILLE🌿ˏ`୭̥

As my previous thread describes, Bellefeuille students are lovers of nature with a strong sense of bravery, loyalty to all they hold dear to them. These students are those caring and sensitive friend to people's need around them.

They are hard and efficient workers and are characteristically book smart. They think of the necessities of life are what is important, they prize family and friends above everything else.

Bellefeuille students often feel a strong connection with nature, are caring and kind to animals and respect all aspects of flora and fauna.

They often have a good and quick perception of the emotions around them, knowing how to adjust acts accordingly to situations.

Bellefeuille students are realists through and through. They may not be the smartest but they surely get their work done. They often prefer to do physical activities rather than those that requires logical thinking.

PAPILLIONLISSE🦋ˏ`୭̥

Main traits of this house's students are kind, mature, artistic and idealistic. Students that are sorted into this house are naturally gifted in arts, thoughtful, kind and gentle to those around them.

Some students of this house is also gifted to be social butterflies with fluttery personality. Papillionlisse students have a tendency to be quite spur of the moment and unpredictable people.

Sophistication and maturity are very prized in this house, as well as beuty of the mind and appearance above many other characteristics and always striving to improve aesthetic qualities of life.

Students of Papillionlisse are often daydreamers, hopeless romantics, those who want to change the world with their idealism and undying love. They often fail to see things for what their truly are, for they are not the most analytic of all people.

Humanist approach are valued on this house. They don't learn to gather knowledge but to improve themselves to be a better person. Most of them are introverts focused on their internal state.

Papillionlisse students are often to be very emotional, they bring strong feelings and dedication to their work.

OMBRELUNE🌛ˏ`୭̥

The students of this house possess traits such as cunning, ambitious, logic and full of curiosity. The members of this house are very often those that prescribe to the concept of ❝The ends justifies the means❞, as they can be manipulative and cunning.

Ombrelune students are very cool and calculating students who are very adverse to irrationality, and prize people for making well thought-out and logical decisions.

The students of this house are very cold, rarely express their emotions openly unless they see a direct gain in doing so.

Out of all three houses in Beauxbatons, this house is the most ambitious. They are very logical, smart, structured, very curious interested in the world and the intricate way it works in. They often strive for power, and perfection more above anything.

💌 : : finally, end of thread!! the article that helped me for this are; Quotev and Weebly. re–reading the thread, can you guess the author's house?😸 by the way, i'm dropping my opinions about Beauxbatons house's similarities to Hogwarts'.

💌 : : starting off with Bellefeuille, i think this house has the combination of Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Papillionlisse is similar to Ravenclaw with Hufflepuff. lastly, Ombrelune which totally matches Slytherin in every way. drop you opinions too if you don't mind!
