Had a call about a cybersecurity analyst position today. Phoenix AZ offer $55/Hr with no benefits (as in don't submit). I said no so they raised the wage to 57/Hr no benefits. No again. Gave him a rate and he was like we can't get that. My reply - then offer benefits.
I guess there are enough desperate people out there that companies can get away with this but once again this is one of the reasons cybersecurity hiring is so fucking tough.
the other factor I should add is they wanted someone who could start on Monday

I should have done this last night - I have worked with some really good recruiters too - ACS Professional Staffing and Biztek People both in the Portland OR area, which are the last two I worked for both treated me right. It's not all negatives.
There are a couple others I am currently working with, but because we are actively engaged I am not going to mention names. If this thread has depressed you be aware there are some good ones out there.
