I'll show my age.

Back around the 90's this company called 'Macromedia' created a bunch of graphics and web design software.

i.e. Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver

I got my start as a Web Developer and Graphics designer. This is software I used everyday for clients.

Because these apps got so big. Eventually Adobe bought them out, and all that software joined the family of Photoshop.

Photoshop brought image manipulation to mainstream.

It certainly caught the attention of web designers.

Now you can alter pics to be what they're not.

So, naturally, us Web and Graphic Design nerds explored Photoshop. Who can make the "realest looking fake" picture.

We tried to be better than early-adopter photoshop vets.

Out of college, mainstream media and the fashion industry wanted the expert photoshoppers.

Why?

Fashion Industry
Stretch out the models legs. Tuck in her waist. Give her a bigger bust. Fuller lips. Lighter skin. Brighter eyes. Shinier brown skin.

Mainstream Media
Darken his skin. Brighten his skin. Create a more sinister brow to the criminal.

Manipulation. I did it.

Fast forward to now.

Deep Fake technology. Video editing. Literally making people appear to say live, or look, or do, what they are not.

It's the new Photoshop.

MSM is literally recruiting for Deep Fake experts, to show you what isn't real.

Be aware. Just a heads up.

I guess the point I'm making here, is you in fact are living in a "simulation", where perceptions are etched out by tech.

It's all psychological. To put you towards some thought trajectory.
