How I Met BTS
--- a thread to remember---
So, obviously, I've heard about them before, they're huge in my country. Even their faces are on subways and theaters haha. But I only knew a few of their songs and couldn't tell who is who 😅
To be honest there was a stereotype on my mind about K-pop boyband
Fast forward to 2020, quarantine happened. To keep me fit I tried following some zumba videos on YouTube. One of them is this:
I thought: "well this first song is kinda catchy!" Aaand I followed this exercise again the day after than learned that the song is Dope by BTS. Hmm, interesting. So I decided to check out the MV.
First impression: "whoa, this was a seriously impressive (and difficult) choreography!" Plus I liked the concept where they were portrayed as different professions, and the policeman was kinda cute so...
but again, I didn't know who is who.
A few weeks later, I watched the BTS Carpool Karaoke, just because it kept popping on my recommendation. What's the harm right? But then, they sang to Finesse and the guy behind James pulled an effortlessly perfect Bruno Mars' verse
WHO IS THIS GUY?? Luckily some ARMYs in the comment section pointed out that his name is Jungkook, the main vocal and the youngest member. I was smitten! Plus they seemed like a nice group to hang out with. For me, this was one of the best and most entertaining Carpool edition.
Okay, now I know ONE name. Now, how bout rewatching the Dope video and see what's he doing there??
And I was shocked when I learned that he is in fact the policeman that I have a crush on after all this time! 😂
I quickly searched up for more content of him. He was so young?? Couldn't believe he did the Dope vid when he was like 17 and LOOKED THAT GOOD.
And I learned the words Golden Maknae! This video, in particular, left me in admiration of how someone could be so perfect 😭
This was the day Jungkook officially become my first bias.
So JK attracted me first but then I learned other member's names and personalities pretty quickly! Before I know, I've watched every BTS MV, interviews, and even crackhead videos lmaoooo. They're seriously so talented and adorable. I cannot not smile while watching them :))
I listened up to their discography and they're on my daily playlist ever since! I admire the breadth of their genres AND the message they give in each song. Since I found them, I honestly feel the other groups/artists seem lazy and average compared to them lol. NOW I GET IT ARMY
Never in my whole life would I imagine stanning a Korean band so bad. I dedicated this account to support them. Even now, everyday I find a new great thing they've done, like they constantly outdo themselves just when I thought it can't get any better than 😂
This video pretty much sums up how proud I am to be their fans now. They're the most meaningful artist I've found and I really hope the world could appreciate and see them the way ARMYs see them
