I was laid off from Marketplace in 2013. I nearly left the industry, but big shout-out to @davidgura for helping me get a temp gig at @NPRWest. That gig led to other jobs, and without those few months there are many stories that never would’ve been told...

And a lot of shows that never would have been made. Sometimes a month is all you need until the next thing comes along. People in the industry - now is the time to help each other out.

And helping people out goes double for those without a lot of industry connections or the ability to fall back on family as a safety net. Let’s all do what we can hey?
