Today a brand decided to send me a MASSIVE bottle of Mezcal. I happened to open the package while I was in the middle of my virtual AA meeting (irony lol) we had been talking about the powerlessness we can feel with alcohol. Damn. So on time.

If y’all need to ask fiftyleven times about sending a VIBRATOR can you at least check in about folks POLICIES ON ALCOHOL?! Damn. Lucky for @kaelanbarowsky, he’s getting the alcohol.

And y’all...it was for a Pride Activation.

CAN I JUST SAY: I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THE ALCOHOL INDUSTRY TARGETING VULNERABLE LGBTQ+ POPULATIONS UNDER THE GUISE OF PRIDE.

My drinking completely escalated when I started going to the many LGBTQ+ events with OPEN BARS & sponsors.

We don’t need every single queer event to be sponsored by an intoxicant. As we work to get corporations out of pride can we also have a conversation about the predatory nature of alcohol companies spending copious amounts of $$ on a group thats often impacted by mental health?!

& I’ve met enough queer alcoholics working on sobriety to fully CONFIRM how hard it is to maintain a connection to community when the thing that’s funding the spaces where we can be together is poison.
