visual experience. Konark Dance Festival is five day festival of music and dance held annually in the month of December since 1986, started by Padamshree Guru Pradhan ,director and founder of KonarkNatya Mandapam

( having a very beautiful and exquisite artistic carvings on its walls ), with a aim to introduce the world with traditional Indian Dance forms , to unite a diverse nation through plenty of arts forms and to show the exquisite beauty of

Konark Sun Temple( which was constructed in the 13th Century by Raja Narasingha Deva from Ganga Dynasty. We can says that it is a ways to promote tourism in Odisha as it always increases the number of visitors

who visits this place specifically for this festival, at this time Odisha tourism takes all the responsibilities of tourists and provide all needed facilities to them,even their basic amenities too. This unique and auspicious festival of dance and music,

creates the atmosphere which is magnified by the spiritual and aesthetic flavour in the natural ambience.The sound of Ghunghroo bells which are tied on their feet give a different sense of calmness.

This festival takes you on a journey across the wide spectrum of Indian Dance forms .The artist from all around the world, who wants to showcase their talent,they show their talents in the form of Bharatnatyam, Mohiniattam, Manipuri, Odishi, kathak and many others forms of dances

Along with this, the exhibitions of artists material , beautiful handicrafts are left on display for tourist to buy , all this make a perfect place for a family to go together.
