it really would be much easier to be a fat dude if clothes just like.. fit. after 10+ years of disordered eating & processing that’s ultimately what it comes down to now. i can get clothes that are BIG but they don’t quite *fit*. this isn’t groundbreaking but still

i know how how this sounds but there’s something about the sensation of pulling a shirt over your head and having it settle comfortably(but not sloppily) on the shape of your body that i think a lot of people in straight sizes take for granted

as a person who has had huge weight fluctuations- a lot of the feeling of triumph after weight loss is about that specific physical feeling in clothing and not about how your body looks

i realize we’re fighting on a lot of important fronts right now and this is NOT intended to take center stage but there’s a lot of ed related to dysphoria in the trans community so i do think about it a lot
