Did you know that the current manager of the @seattlepd parking enforcement division is running for state attorney general as a Republican? A THREAD
There, he expounds on subjects such as: Why COVID shutdowns are a liberal conspiracy; why George Floyd's murder had nothing to do with race; and why systemic racism does not exist.
Want some quotes? Here you go!

June 9: "I do not believe that systemic racism has been proven."
June 14: COVID-19 is "another Dr. Fauci-induced panic" and @govinslee "continues to maintain a dictatorial stranglehold over our state with his phased reopening and his mask requirement."
June 7: People who call to defund the police—such as those calling to reduce funding for Rogers' employer, the Seattle Police Department—"really want: more violence and death."
Also June 7: Most police killings of civilians are merely "tragic incidents that could have been handled better by police or where the actions of a suspect contributed to his or her own death."
June 5: "Assuming for the moment that there actually is a systemic problem of racist cops killing black people (and I don’t believe there is), who would be to blame for that? ... Democrats."
(Link on that one, which also blames "Hollywood," to a post somewhere called "America Is Not Racist.")
May 31: "I’m not a doctor, but" (speculates that George Floyd may have died because of his weight)
In that same post, this Seattle Police Department supervisor continues: "I am sure there are some racists and some race-motivate crime in our country, but the level it actually occurs is drastically lower than the media and the race-baiters would like you to believe."
In the same post, regarding protests and violence against protesters by his own department: "I place the blame squarely on the media, Jay Inslee, and organized thugs."
I'm less concerned that a Lake Stevens resident who thinks racism is a myth, that COVID is a conspiracy, and that violence against protesters is justified is running for statewide office than I am that he is a supervisor at the Seattle Police Department.
Voters can make judgment calls on candidates' views. They have less power over a police department where views like this are endemic.
It's one thing to laugh at one person who thinks COVID isn't real. It's another to realize he represents a department whose chief just said yesterday that if the city "takes away" tear gas, the police will go back to beating protesters with batons.
