If the general public had seen an intensive care unit during this epidemic; I promise you they would be barricading themselves indoors. This is me saying good bye to my father aged 67 in intensive care (not COVID but he was the only one out of 80 on the ward without it)
There were 5 intensive care wards - all joined up & all completely full, so I had to walk through allyo get out and everyone on a ventilator. It was the most surreal experience of my life which I will never forget; felt like I was on a Hollywood film set
All staff in similar to my PPE or even more obstructive. Staff were incredible & I even asked how they did this day in day out; Dr said to me it’s my honour to help. One way system in and out; cannot have a drink of water & absolutely boiling in the protective gear #NHSheroes
This is a COVID times funeral. 10 family members allowed - 2 per pew, must be a pew apart. This is the reality 💔
