Spent the evening at the creative challenge event @ACMIMX - a culmination of a few months of work organised by @andresmh ( @Snapchat), @twi_mar( @MSFTResearch) & I ( @BBCRD): https://imx.acm.org/2020/creative-challenge/

Instead of going to BCN, we Zoomed. We met an hour before to test things. #ACMIMX

We felt that the event deserved special Zoom virtual backgrounds so @twi_mar whipped one up with her super imaging skills. @andresmh and I approved. Not just a scientist, @twi_mar ;)

We had anywhere from 70 to 80 participants who have all come with @andresmh, @twi_mar and I as part of the @ACMIMX Creative Challenge to reimagine the future of storytelling!

We had expert advisors ( @ImmersiveJourno from @EmblematicGroup & @anthony_steed from @uclcs).

We had mentors ( @Snap's @rajan_vaish, @Columbia's @BrianHCI & @QMUL's Vanessa Pope (who interned @BBCRD with @Alteralias sometime back).

We also had 11 teams.
To kick things off, first came the team from @IDCHerzliya led by Iddo Wald, Jonathan Giron, @orenzuckerman & Doron Friedman.

They presented 'Cottage' which crossed the realms of IOT, AR & storytelling. I want a Cottage đź’•
