As we learn more about COVID-19, we're refining our strategies to prevent its spread. This means increased testing, strictly enforcing health and safety standards, a new face covering requirement, and calling on the public to remain cautious. (1/4)
Starting next week I will be instituting a requirement for face coverings while in indoor, public spaces for the following counties: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas, Hood River, Marion, Polk, and Lincoln Counties. Full details available shortly. (2/4)
Effective Friday, June 19, I'm allowing Marion, Polk, and Hood River Counties to enter Phase 2 and Multnomah County to enter Phase 1. Despite an increase in cases, new hospital admissions in Multnomah County are not increasing & hospitalizations remain well within capacity. (3/4)
Oregon's ability to reopen – and *stay* open – is dependent on each of you doing your part:

-Stay home if you’re sick
-Wear a face covering
-Keep 6 feet of distance
-Avoid crowds
-Wash your hands

Your actions will determine whether your local businesses can stay open. (4/4)
