Yes #UyghurLivesMatter and that's why I'm very glad China has spent the past 10 years pouring shitloads of resources into protecting their culture from Wahhabism
Just one, simple example of how Wahhabism has attempted to destroy Uyghur culture is anti-alcohol dogmatism. Uyghur Muslims, like many other Turkic Muslim groups, are lax on religious rules against alcohol. Uyghurs have been well known as masters of winecrafting for centuries
Wahhabists have preyed upon the low economic development in the deserts of Xinjiang to recruit for ISIS, and create a dangerous domestic terror cell, the "East Turkestan Independence Movement", or EITM. EITM is universally recognized as a terrorist organization, even by the USA.
EITM committed a string of public terrorist attacks against both Chinese and Uyghur citizens in the early 2010s, but investment in Xinjiang by the central government + a rehabilitative approach to justice has all but eliminated terrorist attacks in the autonomous region
The Chinese government has created an extensive program to give Uyghur people alternative career paths, teach them useful skills, and education to protect themselves from terrorist recruitment.

The vast success of this in only 10 years has put US "counter-terrorism" to shame
The Chinese government has, in the past few years, built new cities, constructed hundreds of new mosques, and helped relocate remote burials to more accessible new urban cemeteries.
These new opportunities mean that Uyghur people who wish to pursue their traditional nomadic lifestyle can do so out of their own choice, rather than be forced into it by material necessity. Those who wish to urbanize and work industrially now can do so if they please.
Despite all of this, the USA still maintains a narrative of Uyghur oppression via dubious or even non-existent evidence, to distract the more politically conscious segments of the US population from the actual concentration camps on their own border.
