One side effect of having a trans person in your life is that our mere presence will out bigots for you. They honestly canât help but make some kind of transphobic slight or comment because thatâs what bigots do.

I donât want it to be true, I didnât ask for it, and I damn sure want every fascist to die in pain WWII style, but itâs just an observation of reality that can help our non-bigoted friends keep bigots away from us and them. 
Oh, and RARELY will it be said while the trans person is in your company. No. Look for it after, hidden in âreasonableâ language. âSoft transphobiaâ as I call it.
Lastly, you might think I use the word âfascistâ a lot, but frankly, when youâre a trans person, you better fucking know about fascists because they want us dead. Trans, gay, and disabled folks are usually their first targets. We are âdegeneratesâ to them.
