Let’s talk about people who say that tarot isn’t real because it’s all about psychology and analyzing people for a hot second. Anyone who has studied tarot can tell you that they’re not entirely wrong. The cards of the tarot (esp. major arcana) are drawn from Jungian archetypes.
To be a successful reader you need to have a basic understanding of these archetypes and how they play out in various contexts and stages of life. #tarottip
This is also why no two readings from different readers will ever be the same, because each reader will understand these archetypes from their perspective and their world view. #tarottruth
Tarot is not a prediction tool, it is a pattern recognition tool. When you do a reading for someone, it is you, your intuition, and your life experience using cards that reflect the total human experience to help someone identify patterns (and their consequences) in their life.
I’ve had clients reluctant to tell me much about their situation when reading because they want to “test” me and see if it’s real. It ultimately only does them a disservice. The more you know about the context, the more you can help them identify these patterns. #tarotreader
