We fundamentally believe in supporting families who've lost loved ones to police violence as they seek justice. And, we want to be clear that SURJ is an abolitionist org and is fighting to defund, disarm & disband the Columbus Police and create a world where policing is obsolete.

We also feel that the April 2019 indictment of #AndrewMitchell only came because he was a Black cop, and #Donna#Dalton a white woman victim. Ron O'Brien and Columbus Police are racist to their core. #JusticeForDonnaDalton

We know the Mitchell case is complicated because he's Black and #DonnaDalton was white, & we know putting a cop in a cage won't change the root causes of violence. That said, we hope you'll show up Friday morning with Donna's family. Her family has been there for other families.

#DonnaDalton was white, but she was murdered by Columbus Police because she was working class and a sex worker, killed at the intersection of capitalism and patriarchy, drug war, and the white supremacist tool of policing used against her. We must fight for collective liberation!
