Listing awful refereeing decisions this season that either did or could have cost us points:
Away at Brighton, we're 2-1 up.
Aaron Connolly goes down in the box, nor him nor the fans appeal for a penalty. VAR watches it over and over again for several minutes desperately looking for an excuse to give a penalty. Everton go on to lose 3-2.
Everton v Spurs.
Everton are 1-0 down and get a corner, Dele Alli blatantly handles the ball. VAR checks. No penalty given. Everton go on to rescue a point, shouldve been 3.
Liverpool v Everton.
Everton are 2-1 down, Calvert Lewin is through on goal and is clattered in the box by Van Dijk. Closer inspection reveals a stamp on his foot. VAR checks. No Penalty given. No red card.
Everton v Brighton. Theo Walcott is played through on goal and is dragged back by Lewis Dunk, losing his balance and not being able to get his shot away properly. VAR checks. No penalty given. Everton win 1-0. Got lucky, couldve been different.
2-2 against Watford late on. Fabian Delph receives a second yellow and is sent off, despite winning the ball on both occasions. Everton luckily go on to win 3-2 late on. Couldve changed the course of the game.
Perhaps the most infuriating
1-1 late on against Man United, Gylfi Sigurdsson is brought down in the box. No penalty given. Calvert Lewin deflects home the winner off Maguire. VAR disallows the goal. Official explanation is that Gylfi Sigurdsson is obstructing De Gea's view.
Everton v West Ham
Yerry Mina scores from a corner
Goal is disallowed
To this day im not entirely sure why
Everton v West Ham
Sidibe shields the ball out for a goal kick, doesnt touch the ball and is then hacked down by Masuaku.
If not a free kick, definitely a goal kick.
Wrong, corner given, West Ham come dangerously close to equalising from it if not for a fine save by Pickford.
