Not only was the history of the Soviet Union that we learned in high school a lie, but the real history of the Soviet Union is so damn cool.

The way the Bolshevik government handled the national question wrt the nations colonized by Tsarist Russia in what would become Soviet Asia is the dopest shit.

"Ey look we have no interest in keeping you as an colony, you have a right to self determination and you can secede if you want to. BUT we just did this cool thing where we overthrew our ruling class, and if you wanna be a part of our new union we can help you overthrow yours"
