Pak economic woes don’t seem to end.

On June 12, the PTI govt tabled $44.17 billion budget for their ailing economy. The GDP growth of Pak has already crashed into negative this FY year. However, only one thing seems to grow every budget : #PakistanArmy!

A thread. 1/n
External Loans? High expenditure and low revenue is a recipe for disaster, but outlines Pakistan’s reality. They take loans for two reasons mainly : debt servicing & ‘security threats'. They hardly have anything left for common public! 2/n
Further, Pakistan’s gross external debt (as a percentage of total projected exports) is expected to rise from 396.1 per cent to 415.4pc by FY2022. Mind you, situation was worse even before #ChineseVirus, but now much aggravated because of it.

#PakistanArmy drives the policy of #Pakistan, even its economics. So, the Pak’s defence spending (% of GDP) is much higher as compared to world average, while, on health remains much lower than world average. While eating a large share of budget, they have comfortable lives. 4/n
Then comes issue of #CPEC, where Chinese investments are valued at over $60 billion. So far so good, but a closer look at the actual project rings the alarms of Chinese 'debt trap' policies which Pakis are willfully ignoring. 5/n
But, hate for India drives Pakistan to self destructing policies, despite Gwadar port being given away for a mere 9% of revenues, Pak will never dare oppose China, stunning silence on #Uighurs while claiming to be champions of Muslim world proves it! 7/n https://www.dawn.com/news/1372695
And finally, they are being led by dummy PM @ImranKhanPTI who has no vision, is a puppet of the #PakistanArmy and a scapegoat waiting to sacrificed for greed of Pak Army. But dont' worry, they've already shortlisted the next puppet : @SAfridiOfficial. History repeats itself! n/n
