Some basic history of Ayurveda that no one would tell you.
Ayurveda is the ancient-most documented medical healing science that still exists that dates from 1500 to 1000 BC.

Let's see how.
The oldest literary source we've from the ancient Greeks is the work Homer (700BC)
From the middle East, the oldest books are those of Hebrew Bible,
While parts of Old Testament was redone after 500 BC.
The Gathas of Zoroaster are also old dating back to 535 BC.
From China, the oldest book is I Ching- the core belongs to around 1000 BC while the Egyptian, Book of the Dead is much older than that, around 3000 BC.
Almost all the knowledge found in the Indian subcontinent and to some extent found in other far-off places can be traced back to the Vedic literature.

The more we study Vedic literature more amazing facts are found and this knowledge can solve many existing questions of today.
This aside, the only reason I had been so adamant about writing a thread on Ayurveda was because of this YouTube video in which our saints and āchāryas were abused along with our classical texts being labeled as "Sambhog (coitus) shastra".
It doesn't hold even an ounce of truth.
