The Chinese don't care about anything beyond their Borders. Not even Communist Nations.

They had a huge dispute with Soviet Union. China even invaded Communist Vietnam (Sino-Vietnamese War) in 1979 after the Vietnam war, when the Vietnamese overthrew Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge.

China since the last 2500 years had the policy of Isolation, while selling their products (Silk, Paper, Gunpowder) to outside world. They are still using the same policy now.

The only nation China cares about beyond their border is North Korea (They want the Korean peninsula).
Let's go back in History.

After the Soviet-Sino split in 1960's, USSR and China had open armed conflicts in Zhenbao Island and Tieliketi in 1969.

After these two incidents, Soviets & Chinese viewed each other as among the greatest Geo-political threats.
During the 1971 Indo-Pak War, Soviets supported India.

Kissinger spurred Nixon to send the US Seventh Fleet’s Task Force, led by the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, to proceed towards the Bay of Bengal.

Then came the Vietnam War and USA was defeated.
On May 1978, American National Security Advisor Zbignew Brzezinski visited Beijing and met Deng Xiaoping.

Later, China for its own political determinations and benefits, turned around 180 degree and aligned itself with the USA, against the Soviet Union, Cuba & East Germany.
USA under Nixon - Ford - Kissinger supported Pol Pot because he was pro-China and, more importantly, anti-Soviet and anti-Vietnam. Later the Vietnamese overthrew Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge.

In the 1970s, Communist Vietnam defeated USA & China and toppled Khmer Rouge.
Vietnam is still not given credit for stopping the Khmer Rouge.

Later the Chinese alongwith CIA, trained and supported the Afghan Mujahideens during the Soviet-Afghan war against the Soviets. China & WEST collaborated in financing and arming resistances forces against USSR.
From 1978 (when Zbignew Brzezinski visited Beijing) till 2005, Chinese & USA were literally good allies.

When the Americans realized that China is getting too powerful, USA slowly tried to change it's stand after 2005.

USA has been China's top trading partner for Decades.
The Chinese never showed Socialist internationalism like the Soviets, Cuba or Vietnam. Cuba played a key role in defeating apartheid in South Africa

And China still has huge disputes with Communist Vietnam over Mekong River and South China Sea islands.
Both USA and China have imperial Ambitions. The Chinese want to rule Asia and the Indian Ocean, while the Americans want the rest of the world.

Any Nation that trusts both USA and China, are making a big mistake. #ThreadEnd https://twitter.com/Advaidism/status/1267664722624516097
After losing the Vietnam War and a Great ally in Iran (Shah) in the last 1970's, USA gave the job of stopping USSR to Zbigniew Brzezinski.
Right now, China is more afraid of Vietnam than any other nation.

Vietnam's influence is growing in South China Sea and companies are shifting out of China and are moving towards Vietnam.

The Chinese - Vietnam Rivalry is now pretty intense since the end of Vietnam War.
