Remember, there was NO gunfire in the #GalwanValley incident. It was close combat. The CO goes to talk. His party of 20 is attacked with cement and iron rods laced with barbed wire. The CO got struck in the eye and fell into the ravines. Another fell after a hit to the head

This is not some intelligence leak like Uri or Pathankot, where troop movements or Army truck positions are leaked, and questions are natural. This is open treachery, to invite for talks then ambush with brutal clubs. What sane civilisation can prevent THAT? #GalwanValley

Keep a close track of those politically opposed to this Govt. While it's fashionable to "demand answers", who do they demand them from? The peacemomgers who sent a CO to talk or the treacherous Chinese who clubbed him with cement rods of barbed wire? #GalwanValley

If it's so easy, how hard was it to pop Musharraf's head off in Agra 2 years after Kargil? How hard was it to pounce on Yousuf Raza Gilani who was here for the 2011 Cricket World Cup semifinal? You learn the hard way ONCE, that only one side is playing in the spirit of the game.

There were snide jabs on @CNNnews18 last night by Zakka Jacob asking an officer wouldn't the response be different if it were Pakistan? This is China, he noted gleefully, so this Government has been shown it's place! He didn't show OWNERSHIP at all, like it was some random govt!

Good on that officer to put his snooty tongue where it belongs. All he had to do was point out that in response to provocation, 43 Chinese died so where's the question of "different treatment"? #GalwanValley

Zakka kept on with his Pak-China hyphenation until he was rudely reminded Pak sends terrorists, but China sent their own Army, so they aren't even the same thing! Sad that for some people, yesterday was just a stick to beat the Govt with. #GalwanValley

Forget news for a few days. It's so predictable.
1. 20 martyred --> What's 56" doing?
2. If Strongly worded address --> war is not the solution
3. If call for deescalation --> 56" is now 5.6"
4. If Army takes action --> Where's proof?/Why should we believe you? We believe China.

And why should the Government take anyone into confidence BEFORE doing anything? In a war?

In all this time, Chinese media has blacked out the incident, no official confirmed the body count. Xi of course won't speak.

Whereas India has given regular updates on casualties of both sides, and details of the skirmish.

But our media wants to know why Modi is silent!

But they hide one truth.

"Dushtane Kandaal Dure Vilagu" (Run Away From Evil) as we are taught sounds nice to hear.

But are we ever taught how to defend when it's the Dushta who provokes and chases with intent to destroy you? #ChinaGetOut

There's a border skirmish. You ask to meet the CO of the other side to talk it out. There isn't much of an agreement, which is fine in a border dispute.
