My thoughts on every season since 14/15 ( for Spurs).

The 14/15 season was a season that showed great promise. We finally got a competent striker and he even was one of our own. Had ups and downs, though the Chelsea game sticks out. Overall a promising season for Pochettino’s young squad.

The 15/16 season was a step up to next level. We firstly got rid of a lot of deadwood( Soldado, Adebayor, Stambouli etc). Then we signed some absolute bargains including: Dele Alli, Son and Alderweireld. We really got to see Pochball with more of his players and tactics.

Even though it was great season looking back on it, it’s a shame we didn’t clutch up to win the title.

The 16/17 was arguably our best season in a long long time. Pochettino had 5 transfer windows to really make the squad his own. We got rid of a lot of deadwood that season( Tom Carroll, Yedlin etc). We probably had a better starting xl than Chelsea that season, sadly

we didn’t have much depth and Chelsea didn’t have a European competition to worry about. Overall it was a great season and looked really promising for the future especially with the young squad we had.

The 17/18 season was a mixed one. We didn’t quite push on as many of us excepted after coming so close the two previous seasons. We finally added a little more depth with sisgnings like: Davinson, Aurier, Moura and Llorente. And we had a better run in the Cl reaching the round

of 16, only nearly losing out to Juventus. We got to the Semi finals of the Fa-Cup. So it was decent season overall.

The 18/19 season was definitely the biggest rollercoaster so far. We finally moved into the new stadium. We lost 13 games in the league. And also reached a champions league final. As well as making no signings. The Cl final was a cover up for our fatigued and declining squad

and also Poch losing the dressing room. In the end, it was great reaching the cl final, though we should have invested more to compete at the top and not have such a stale squad.

What I’ve learned as a Spurs fan the past half decade, is that it sucks being second best.
