⚽️🔎League 2 Play-Off Player Watch🔍⚽️

Some of you may not have watched much @SkyBetLeagueTwo before:

Over the next few days, I will compile a thread on an exciting player at each club with the potential to go higher to keep an eye out for in the play-offs...👇
⚽️🔎Charlie Goode - Northampton Town @ntfc 🔍⚽️

Thread Below 👇 #NTFC #Cobblers
Charlie Goode has been well documented this season by many scouts an analysts. The powerful, fast 6’5 CB plays on the right side of a back three. In high defensive positions, he will drop deep behind the defensive line and sweep up balls into the channel.
( @Wyscout)
Goode will regularly be used as the outlet for possession for the back three and step into midfield with power from just inside his own half. His average pass length is 27.78m and will consistently play lofted cross-field balls toward the LWB/LM (Nicky Adams).
( @Wyscout)
CG steps forward several times throughout a game on the right side to deliver high out swinging crosses to the back post.
To counter, CG steps out of defence to intercept before driving at the heart of the opp, bursting away and following his run into the final 3rd.
( @Wyscout)
Goode’s role as a wide centre-back has some similarities Premier League fans will compare to the wide centre-backs at Sheffield United this season and how they drive forward and link with the WB on their respective side.

Can play Championship football.
⚽️🔎Kwame Poku - Colchester United🔍⚽️
@ColU_Official #ColU
18-year-old Kwame Poku is a versatile, left-footed attacking midfielder capable of playing through the middle or on either wing, racking up 5 goals, 3 assists and 3 second assists in 29 appearances this season.
At 5’9 he is able to use a low centre of gravity combined with exceptional dribbling to his advantage and glide around opponents with trademark body feints and ball rolls. As shown below 👇
He tends to prefer a right-sided role so he can cut inside with the option of a ground pass forward between the LB LCB but also a preference to curl shots into the far-left corner with the instep of his boot after a direct run at the heart of the opponent.
Poku is a progressive runner with 2.95 per 90 and progressing an average of 77.95 meters. He will pick the ball up from deep positions, often hugging the touchline on the left side slowing the ball down and using harsh acceleration to advance forward.
Poku has been a breakthrough prospect in the EFL this season getting bums off seats with his flair and creativity. If he continues on this trajectory he could have a sparkling career ahead of him.

⚽️🔎Randell Williams - Exeter City🔍⚽️ @OfficialECFC
#ECFC #OneGrecianGoal
The 23-year-old left-footed, RM/RWB has contributed 5G and 14A in a barnstorming season. His direct and powerful running down the right flank has been a thorn in the opposition all season. Left-footed but strong on his right as well means that he has a different edge to his game.
Williams crossing ability on the ground and in the air using the height of Ryan Bowman has been paramount in Exeter’s play-off finish. Tending to drive his right-footed crosses at pace nearer the byline. But also using his left foot to cut inside early and inswing high crosses.
He has great anticipation and tenacity in the final third where he will counter-press effectively and create opportunities high up the pitch for himself and others.
Due to his incredible athleticism, he can defend 1v1 exceptionally well, waiting for the opponent to make a move before using quick reactions and anticipation to pinch the ball as they attempt to move around him, particularly strong going to ground for the challenge.
Williams has been one of the stand-out performers in L2 this season and really its a pleasure to see him play for at least two more games.

⚽️🔎Ryan Broom -Cheltenham🔍⚽️
#CTFC @CTFCofficial
The versatile 5'10 midfielder capable of playing as an advanced midfielder, and as a wing-back has had a successful season in L2 contributing 8G and 7A. Mostly playing on the right side of Cheltenham's central-midfield three.
He will look to break the back-line with side-footed ground passes at any given opportunity to release the front two or overlapping wing-backs. What is noticeable is the impeccable weight on his key-passing into either channel.
RB has contributed with 8 goals from midfield and many of these come from him advancing high past the strikers and behind the opposition defence to use his accurate finishing and composure to establish himself as the clubs top league goalscorer this season.
When operating as the wide CM or WB a number of his chances created are from crossing situations. His composure to stand the ball up centre of the goal in the second 6-yard box is a forwards dream as well as vision recognising the late runners into the box with ground cutbacks.
In and around the penalty area RB tends to finish with placement and accuracy rather than power and has finished several goals this season with real grace and composure in a crowded situation.
One trait I keep alluding to is Broom's composure in every situation. This attribute suggests he can play at a higher level in his career. If anyone will spark a goal for Cheltenham he will likely be involved.
