JC is married to LXC but thinks that LXC married him as second choice. JC thinking that LXC wouldn’t hesitate to bring back his sworn brothers if given the chance. +

JC finds out about a magical object that could grant wishes. He decides to use it to grant LXC’s wish. He brings LXC to a nighttime picnic at his favorite pavilion and tells LXC about how some people believe that stars have the magical power to grant wishes. +
It’s a whimsical tale and one that quite frankly, he pulled out of his ass, but he wants LXC to smile and he needs LXC to make a wish. When he finishes his story, he tells LXC to make a wish. LXC doesn’t believe in the story but he indulges his husband anyway. +
Two weeks later, JC is antsy. Nothing has happened. He can’t bring himself to tell LXC the truth so he goes to talk to his brother. He tells WWX about the magical object and about how LXC should have wished for the return of his sworn brothers. So where are they? +
“Shouldn’t something have happened by now?”
LXC was walking by and overhears. He is horrified. He feels betrayed at first. JC reaches for him and tries to explain. “I was thinking about you! I wanted to make your wish come true!” +

LXC looks back at him, startled. “But that’s not what I...” Then JC watches his husband’s entire face turn red before he covers his face with his hands.
“Xichen?” JC is confused. What is happening? +

LXC is mortified. He tries to walk backwards, but JC stops him. JC has never seen LXC like this. LXC is a man made of the finest jade, elegant in demeanor and in temperament. The rare few times LXC was embarrassed, the tips of his ears turned red. +
What could have possibly made his husband this embarrassed?
“A-Huan? What’s wrong?” LXC remembers that night. He also remembers his wish. He remembers it very well.
“A-Cheng...” he hesitates. “I didn’t wish for da-ge or A-Yao to come back...” he’s still hesitating. +

He remembers looking at the stars that night. He remembers being amused as his husband explained the story of people wishing on stars. He remembered looking at his husband and feeling so smitten, that this beautiful man was telling fanciful tales to +
LXC because he thought LXC would enjoy these types of stories. He remembers thinking he wants to spend the rest of his life with JWY. He wants to share his life, his home, his bed, his heart; and unbidden, another thought enters his head. +
“I wished for a child with you.”
