Mmm don’t feel like it’s the real reason, tho. That event hasn’t happened yet. I’d like to think that it’s because Zack’s memories and feelings took over Cloud for a moment.. #Zerith all the way..

I just realized that maybe the reason Cloud shed a tear here was due to the similar words Aerith said to both Cloud and Zack >> “motto issho ni itai” (translated to “I want to spend more time with you” in CC).

It seems like those words were triggering real Cloud’s memories of Zack telling him stories about Aerith.
