I keep waking up to new #AO3 discourse, so:

- Anti-racist work in spaces you love/value is hard. Do it anyway

- There aren't easy solutions but that doesn't mean we don't try

- Plz don't call ppl asking for systemic change any variant of the "fandom police." That's fucked up!
- It's not the responsibility of fans of color to offer bulletpoint, actionable proposals for you to fix your mess.

- We've identified problems. If you agree that those exist, use some of those donation dollars to pay someone for policy work. Lots of ppl do!
- Ofc it is very possible the @OTW_News doesn't think it's a problem for them to engage with at all.

-In that case, please remove my work from that post and stop saying you're concerned about racism in fandom. Let's just be honest.
- And finally if you use #AO3, if you were proud of winning that HUGO, if you believe #BlackFansMatter, and that fandom spaces SHOULD be better, and that change is possible, please make some noise.
Additional note: Please keep this convo focussed on RACISM IN FANDOM!!!

If you've never used the term "fandom police" to talk about race/ism then congrats! This thread is not about you!

Please don't derail because I'm not going to engage with those kinds of comments.
Adding this as a final clarification. If you still got problems, well we probably won't have a fruitful conversation anyway. https://twitter.com/RukminiPande/status/1272196023318835201?s=20
