TVs always end up being the focal point of the room but they never feel deserving of that placement.

Headboards are insanely expensive and, usually, poor quality. I sort of want to build my own, something like the one in photo. How hard can it be?™

Completely agree. When I stayed in Copenhagen awhile ago all the hotels had TWO duvets on each bed so you didn’t have to share it with a partner. Another European bed habit worth considering 😄
