thread on why you should stan babymetal and their talented members, because i'm sick of them being taken as a joke and as the face of 'uwu im so edgy'core (with the help of my good friend @peachyyrevenge)
Before I show the videos, here's a quick introduction. (u can skip if you want to see the vids) BABYMETAL were originally a 3 membered group formed as the "kawaii-metal club" subunit of their original group, Sakura Gakuin. They separated from SG in 2013, after Su-metal graduated.
They debuted with Doki Doki Morning in 2010, with Yui-Metal and Moa-Metal only being 11 at the time- and Su-Metal being 13.
In 2014, they gained international recognition after the widely known "Gimme Chocolate" was released. This song blew up internationally, still being their most viewed song to this day. This would eventually be a changing point for BABYMETAL.
BABYMETAL recieved loads of worldwide success, including a world tour starting at Wembley arena and concluding with a two night concert at the tokyo dome in 2016 following the release of their second album.
During 2017 to mid 2019, BABYMETAL pretty much took a break. Aside from touring every now and then, there was no new music. Fans started to worry in 2018 when Yui-metal stopped appearing at shows. It was later announced in late 2018 that Yui-metal had left the group.
Following Yui-metal's departure, the avengers were introduced. While they are not official members of BABYMETAL, and are only touring members, they deserve all the love as well.
BABYMETAL are known for their intense and powerful performances. Here is the iconic video of Su-Metal being crucified during BABYMETAL DEATH- their introductory song.
BABYMETAL also have songs with such deep meaning, for example, Ijime, Dame. Zettai is an anti bullying song. Live performances of this song always include a heartfelt message from the members, saying they'll always be there for you no matter what.
Suzuka Nakamoto, aka Su-metal, is BABYMETAL's vocalist. She is talented. that is all i can say. Just watch this performance of Akatsuki, and tell me it doesn't give you the chills.
Moa Kikuchi, aka Moa-Metal, is the sub vocalist / main dancer of BABYMETAL. While Moa usually only dances in most babymetal songs, here is a solo performance of hers. She is covering Love Machine by Morning Musume :)) She is also incredibly talented.
if that wasn't enough; BABYMETAL used to have a sub unit called BLACK BABYMETAL, where Yui and Moa would perform by themselves. They had such iconic songs, like this one. Onedari Daisakusen is literally a song about scamming your dad I cannot make this shit up

Yui Mizuno, aka Yui-metal, was a member of BABYMETAL. She had the same positions as Moa, sub vocal and main dancer. Here is her solo performance of Chokotto Love. Yui would go onto leave the band in 2018- citing health issues as why she could not go on.
