Washington.
Right now, it’s on everyone’s mind because of feckless governor Inslee and daft mayor of Seattle, Burkel. But there is SO much more to the story. I mean mountains more. And no, there was no pun intended there.
Let’s start off with a non-doxing biography so that you know that I speak from direct knowledge and such. I’m 50, have lived in Western WA my whole life. I am actually 4th gen Washingtonian, which means that my great grandparents came into the area in the late 1800’s.
I have family, my grandfather and his brothers, shown in Darius Kinsey’s photos. He was a well-known pioneer logging photographer of the early 1900’s.
I’ve lived in Bellevue, Bremerton, Lynnwood, Camano Island, and now I’m up north a way. Worked in Seattle proper at 2 different jobs, Tacoma for work, Bellevue for work, etc etc. I also like to go out and drive and explore. Circled are work/live areas.
In my threads I like to include maps and drawn on maps, to help people get a feel for the area, as seen above. There are some very unique geographical things to this area that don’t really jump out at you until you have visited here for a while, or lived here.
First, North and South are the way. With Puget Sound, Lake Washington, The Olympics, the Ocean, the Cascades, all are N-S oriented. So travel and growth are limited to mostly N-S directions. There are exceptions of course, but the I-5 corridor is the main path.
As another aside, I highly recommend people read fully the threads and links I will provide. They will fill in many gaps in the narrative. I am purposely keeping this thread as brief as possible so that you CAN focus on the needed additions I am providing.
Lets start with the oldest of the grouping here. Boeing. Boeing was founded in Seattle, on the Duwamish river, in 1916 or so. For many years Boeing was just a local economic force. As Boeing did, so did the rest of Western Washington.
This changed in the late 90’s, as Phil Condit was named to the CEO position, and began a series of acquisitions that leveraged Boeing into being pretty much an American monopoly on aerospace. Rockwell, McDonall/Douglas, Hughes to name a few.

At that point Boeing became the defacto Deep State aerospace supplier. The only real competition globally was Aerobus. Its no coincidence that during the Obama admin, Boeing moved its HQ from Seattle, after 100 years, to Chicago
Do yourself a favor and Google these two things, Boeing Airplanes, and Boeing Military. You would be ASTOUNDED at what all they have their hands in. 747’s, E3 Sentry's, Space Shuttle, Drones, F-15’s and 18’s, various military Helicopters, and way more.
Next up, Weyerhauser. You may or may not know who they are, but after reading this Wiki you will know why I am including them. Plenty of spoopy to go around there.
