I am genuinly intrigued as to what drives teachers to chose the Medicine Through Time option at GCSE. If anyone does this option, could they possibly shed some light on this? I cannot think of a single reason to do this unit other than - “resources are already there”.
Thanks for everyone who has responded. Some really interesting insights. I am coming from a place where, having taught exclusively in London schools, I could never seriously consider choosing this option over Migration, Power or C&P. For my student demog it just wouldn’t fly...
Furthermore, for those who have said “our students just like it”... have you consciously carried out comparisons to gauge how they would respond to other unit options?
