Considering Breonna Taylor’s murderers STILL have not been arrested, I thought this might be a good time to look back at the incredibly corrupt Louisville Metro Police Department’s record of excessive force, as well as Mayor Greg Fischer’s complicity in it all (thread)

The LMPD officer obtaining the idictmemt of Kenneth Walker DIDN’T TELL THE GRAND JURY that he DIDN’T KNOW the plainclothes officers were police when they barged in; nor did she tell them Breonna Taylor HAD BEEN KILLED. Kenneth was charged with attempted murder of an officer (4/?)
The cops who murdered Breonna Taylor shot 22 rounds in her apartment as a response to Kenneth Walker’s one shot to an officer’s leg. Those shots were meant to KILL. And they killed under the ignorant leadership of LMPD police chief Steve Conrad and Mayor Greg Fischer. (5/?)
Breonna Taylor’s murder was a direct result of Greg Fischer’s refusal to listen to hard facts, act on the concerns of the citizens of Louisville, and fire Conrad years ago. It’s time for Mayor Fischer to resign. It’s time for Breonna Taylor’s murderers to be arrested. (6/?)
It’s worth noting that Brett Hankison, one of Breonna’s killers, is now being investigated for sexual assault. In 2017, two LMPD officers were accused of sexually abusing teenagers. In conclusion, arrest Breonna Taylor’s murderers. Force Greg Fischer to resign. Hold Steve Conrad accountable for encouraging bad behavior and rewarding sexual assault. DEFUND THE POLICE. Breonna’s Law is great, but we can’t and won’t stop until she gets the justice she deserves.
