200,000 stock preorders!

an explanation because most people seem to misunderstand these articles

it does NOT mean fans preordered 200,000

it’s the amount of stock produced before the album release - estimated demand based on several factors (which includes fan preorders) https://twitter.com/Stray_Kids/status/1271662811005902849
I’ve seen this happen for many groups where there’s an article that says like 1mil stock preorders and first week sales are like 500k and people don’t understand

that’s normal

the amount of stock preorders should be fairly higher than 1st week sales so stores aren’t sold out https://twitter.com/shmesm2/status/1271664815623204864
it’s impossible to know the number of fan preorders

but because it’s the highest number of stock preorders, it’s EXTREMELY likely that first week sales will be the highest yet https://twitter.com/shmesm2/status/1271665295120191492
just want to clarify so people aren’t like “why aren’t first week sales over 200k” and freaking out when the album is released https://twitter.com/shmesm2/status/1271665920000143360
this is like how twice had 500k stock preorders (a new record for them) and their first week sales were over 300k...also a new record

this is normal and how it should be
if the numbers are too similar, it means they didn’t stock enough albums https://twitter.com/shmesm2/status/1271666478496886788
but there’s still time until the album release
so if fans preorder more albums, the number of stock preorders will also increase probably https://twitter.com/shmesm2/status/1271666478496886788
I believe this is the first time they released a stock preorder article for skz
it probably means it’s much higher than previously https://twitter.com/shmesm2/status/1271668581189574659
