The Electoral College is systemic racism.
Electoral impact by race:

Electoral Value of 1 Vote based on Voter’s Race:
1 White Vote counts 1.03x
1 Black Vote counts 0.91x
1 Hispanic Vote counts 0.87x
1 Asian Vote counts: 0.58x
Outside of Presidential politics the representation of rural states in the House is similarly apportioned and is further insulated the Senate, by allotting 2 Senators a state regardless of population. Protecting m the rural voice of in legislature.
As a nation we must ask ourselves if the impact of our current method for protecting the voice of rural America in each Presidential election is to make every white man’s vote count > 1 vote & each vote by a POC < 1 vote is our system just?
Given that rural states representation is already weighted with in both Houses of Congress.

What entitles the voice of rural Americans to greater protection in Presidential elections than POC? How can we justify protecting the voice of rural America by silencing POC?
Not to mention these figures don’t even consider the impact of voter suppression... rather these are the value of the votes if there was NO voter suppression which we know if far from the case.
But it gets worse.

A MM-regression analysis of every election from 2000 on indicates the Electoral College has consistently awarded more votes per capita to states with Whiter populations, that favored more “racially conservative policy.” Ahem[read RACIST]
The political power exerted by these states coupled their racial attitudes make it even harder to pursue equal justice under the law with in them.
And still there’s more. Guess which other states are significantly whiter eligible voter pool?

Political battleground states.

Guess what that does to the Presidential Policy? You got it! Presidential Election platforms are often built for battleground white voters
Oh and here’s the racist historical details of the Electoral College’s formation... & there’s much more to it than 3/5 https://twitter.com/sarah_in_ny/status/1164815375206240258?s=21 https://twitter.com/sarah_in_ny/status/1164815375206240258
But the GOOD NEWS is we CAN END IT. And There’s a plan for that—without a Constitutional amendment!

End the EC as we know it with the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact #NPVIC @NatlPopularVote

And this starts with taking back state legislatures. https://twitter.com/profjscarberry/status/1297149751129931777?s=21
