I’m gonna start this off by saying I am palestinian. I lived in Palestine for many years & I have seen my own family get mistreated by the Israeli government. if you aren’t palestinian don’t speak over me. if you are palestinian, I won’t tell you how to feel. NOW LETS BEGIN!
a zionist is a person who believes the “Israeli” state belongs to the Jewish people. but by believing in this, they are supporting the massacre of the Palestinian people as well as the removal of the state. this has been going on since 1948. it’s quite literally a genocide.
being Jewish does NOT mean you are a zionist. these 2 things are completely unrelated and believing that every Jew is a zionist is extremely antisemitic and ignorant. and not all Israelis are zionists — many are Palestinian activists and go against the Israeli government.
now to why I am stating Harry Styles is NOT a zionist. someone stating they’d like to visit Israel can be called ignorant, hurtful, and uneducated but it does not mean they are a zionist. it doesn’t mean someone is supporting a genocide. but it is ignorant.
while performing, Harry grabbed a hammer from one of the fans. He waved it around; which he’s done with many different flags/objects during that tour. this does NOT make someone a zionist. uneducated, ignorant, hurtful. yes. but a zionist? it’s a big word with a lot of meaning.
a zionist believes in the warcrimes held against the palestinian people, the massacres, the bombings, the removal of the Palestinian people from THEIR OWN COUNTRY. a zionist donates to the Israeli government. a zionist stands by the actions inflicted by the Israeli government.
so many people are completely uneducated on the TRUTH behind the Palestinian & Israeli conflict — mentioning Israel does not make them automatically a zionist. yes we can all call Harry ignorant, maybe even purposely ignorant, but throwing around the term “zionist” just
so you can win your stan twitter wars is just messy. do not pretend to care about Palestinian lives & the conflict going on there if the only time you want to speak on the issue is when you want to drag “harry stans.” the issue is way
bigger than any of us and it is killing people EVERY day that we wake up. we speak about America, China, and other countries with corrupt governments so casually. does that mean we stand by what these governments are doing? no, obviously we do not.
Harry also votes for the Labour Party which is in support of Palestine and a portion of his proceeds from tour were donated to a refugee charity which included Syrian & Palestinian & other refugees.

please know what harry did wasn’t “okay.” it hurt me as a palestinian. it’s extremely ignorant. but the only purpose of this thread is to not use the word zionist — because it is heavy, and literally means supporting an ethnic cleansing. call harry out. demand an apology.
this thread is the least important thing when it comes to Palestine. my people are dying and suffering. educate yourselves. donate what you can. educate those around you. don’t only speak about Palestine when you are mentioning Harry. this goes beyond him.
